Blessing of the Sun – An Environmental Message

The sun symbolizes life, energy and power. This year, on April 8th, at sunrise, we find the sun’s location in the sky as it was at the time of Creation according to Talmudic calculations. It is a true Sun Day. It is representative of a Jewish holiday called Birchat Hachamah which is celebrated every 28 years. From Albuquerque, New Mexico you can watch live webcast of Wednesday’s celebrations from Chabad.org’s website:

But, for all beliefs, a focus on the environment makes the sun a hot topic! SolarPowerEvolution.com celebrates the Sun’s power all year round. We hope you will gather with us on this special day of the Blessing of the Sun along with future days and help us all become more environmentally conscious and conservative in our efforts to make the Earth a better place. Let’s make every day a Sun Day!
